This skin has had three lives.

The first piece I ever posted on DeviantArt was a desktop screenshot entitled Neon Afterglo Redux (it's still here). It featured a desktop that reflected a mindset linked to my personal Happy Place inside my mind: the Neon Afterglo Lounge. The Desktop Sidebar skin in that screenshot has the same name and was both my most complex effort to that point and my biggest disappointment – I couldn't quite get where I wanted to go with it.

Afterglo was my second try at translating that feeling into a skin but it still wasn't right for reasons I won't tire you with and was ultimately deleted as well.

So back to the drawing board I went. This final version uses the exact same colors as the original Neon Afterglo Redux. The edges of the captions still glow when the mouse hovers over them. Also, I simplified my approach to the Media Player controls, made the scroll buttons on the main skin integrate better and skinned the window control buttons. The screenshot is back to the backdrop of the original Neon Afterglo as well.

I can finally say that this is what I was reaching for when that skin was first created.
